& INSTITUTIONS
We understand the challenges of managing overstock, unsold, excess inventory and discards, and the space it takes up on your shelves and storage!
We can help you free up space & reduce clutter and will come to your location to carefully pick up and remove your unwanted inventory.
Sometimes not all books are suitable for donation or resale, which is why we also offer book recycling services and post-sale cleanouts. We ensure that books are responsibly recycled, with the paper pulp used to create new paper products, reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills.
We accept donations of new and used books, CDs/DVDs, video games, textbooks, and encyclopedias which we sort and distribute to our partners, organizations and back to the hands of readers.
Come drop off your books and media any time at our locations, or schedule a pickup.
sustainability
TO DATE ZBK SOLD OVER 30 MILLION UNITS B2B/B2C AND RECYCLED MORE THAN 13,500 TONS OF BOOKS
Recycling 1 ton of paper saves 17 mature trees, 7,000 gallons of water, 3 cubic yards of landfill space, and 2 barrels of oil.
Every ton of paper recycled can save the energy equivalent of 165 gallons of gasoline.
17 trees can absorb a total of 250 pounds of carbon dioxide from the air each year. Burning that same ton of paper would create 15,000 pounds
of carbon dioxide.
The process of recycling paper instead of making it from new materials generates 74% less air pollution and uses 50% less water.
Manufacturing recycled paper uses only 60% of the energy needed to make paper from new materials.
Used books play a critical role in promoting sustainability, reducing waste, preserving knowledge and culture, and increasing access to literature and education. By choosing to read and purchase used books, we can make a positive impact on the environment.
